X5 Trailer Hitch Questions
Fall is here and its time to install a trailer hitch on my X.
![]() Anyone out there have a FACTORY HITCH FOR SALE I just missed one on E Bay and hate to pay full $495 list from the local dealer who wont budge, can anyone point me to a dealer that might offer the best off list price (I'm in Massashusetts). Everyone says the factory hitch is the way to go, but, does anyone have experience with the Hidden Hitch unit?? I've hit their web site and it looks like the factory style hitch (not the gross U-Haul / Drawtite one) ![]() Any advice (or hitch for sale) appreciated.!!! |

I believe that it depends if you need to tow a boat or a something big~ if not~ still grab the original hitch without harness, don't get aftermarket, since they might require cutting of the bumper~ plus~ they doesn't look nice at all~ if you just get the oem w/o harness, u might be only paying 100 more than aftermarket~ why risk 50k on a 100 hitch~

I have the OEM hitch, and never considered an aftermarket one. I had an aftermarket hitch on a previous vehicle, and it never really looked "just right", although it was OK and worked fine. Since I bought my X5 new, part of the deal was that the hitch would be installed prior to picking it up and signing all the papers. It works and looks great.

There are several places you can pay less than list, Crevier BMW is one.
