silly oil service light Q

must be misunderstanding something i have read all the search threads that came up , but still have no idea
when i turn car to ign i get all the green bars ,yellow and red plus the 2 signs oil and inspect ,they all disapear after the engine has been started for about 10 seconds .
so do these lights stay on after starting if something needs doing ,or do they only come on briefly when you start
