Electricity current when in ignition on mode without starting the engine

Hi all!

Does anyone know the electricity current of our X5 when turn to ignition on mode without starting the engine? 15 amp or 20 amp or even higher?

Only 2-3amps? Are you sure? Recently I bought a car power supply, in its user manual, it says the power supply can constantly provide max. 7amps at 13.6v to car. I tried it and found that the ps could only provide around 12.1v to my E87 120i and it went to overload mode (stopped working) after 10-20 minutes. It seems 7amps current is not enough to keep providing 13.6v to it. I think maybe X5 consumes more electricity than 120i. Do you have any idea on this?

i thought u ment ignition off. get a DBL-800 for power supply. it will probably say 7.5amps to 18amps when in power supply mode.

Yes, you are right. What I meant was 'ignition on without starting the engine' mode, so you are saying it is 7.5amp to 18amp? Is it right?
