MP3 question
I know there are two different (stock) CD changers available for the E53 X5. One is older and does not recognize MP3 file formats, the other does. In regards to the one that does recognize MP3 file formats, can it also handle folders? Or do the files all have to be in one large directory?
I.e. in my mountaineer, I can put in a burned disc with multiple folders under which the MP3s are listed. Can I do the same in the X5? |

I have a 2006 Changer in my 2003 X5 and burn my discs with mp3 tracks in a folder for each album. These play fine with no problems.
\Album1\Track 1 \Album1\Track 2 \Album1\Track 3 \Album1\etc.... \Album2\Track 1 \Album2\Track 2 I haven't tried having the folder path any deeper than is shown above. Hope this helps. Trikster |

I agree! The one I have/had (its for sale) will do folder paths as well. However, I haven't gone any farther than 2 folders deep.
So..... Artist/Album1/Track1 Artist/Album2/Track2
