Black Lug Bolts?

I have been searching without much success for black lug bolts for my new replica 20" wheels. Does anyone know of a seller for black lug bolts?

Why dont you just prep and spray paint your existing ones with flat black? That's not a problem...

Not a bad idea, but I need to strip the chrome somehow. Otherwise, the paint isn't going to stick.

You may want to consider using these...

FREE SHIPPING! BLACK lug bolt covers ALL BMW wheels:eBay Motors (item 370220987292 end time Jul-26-09 07:09:32 PDT)

I first had a set on my 2002 7 series. I took them off when I unloaded the 7 and then placed them on my X5. While mine are chrome, I am sure that the black ones would look just as good. A quick install and while they are very easy to remove...they don't fall off.

They also come in other colors...

bmw bolt covers, great deals on eBay Motors on eBay!

I had also picked up the bule ones but I didn't like the way they took away from the BMW rondell. Just my taste...

Hope this is helpful.

Make sure you get X5 specific lug bolts. Regular ones are very, very different (as are the torque values of the lug bolts). X5 bolts are two piece w/a rotating bushing cone that mates with the wheel vs. the solid, 1 piece ones on regular BMWs...

I had the covers on my 7 series and now have them on my X5 and they are working fine and look sweet. My buddy has a red set on his M3 and the guy down the block has them on his 550i. They seem to be a nice clean and inexpensive look, IMO.
