4.8is 20 inch rims on a '04 4.4
My buddy wants to give me 20 inch rims aftermarket with the same specs as OEM, with one of the sizes of the tire being 315, (i think the width). I am wondering if there are any cons with replacing my wheels.

Ihave them on my ride and love them. This has been talked about a ton on here. Do a quick searcha and see the many threads on this topic. I would say do it, but make sure you have a winter set up if the weather gets snowy by you. Search and you will see... GL

Thanks for the replies. Would there be any problem with the drivetrain? Because my x5 is AWD...and I think it has the stability control system. Would the different size tires on the front and the rear of my vehicle harm the drivetrain or any part of the car for that matter?

if you run the same size tires as the "is" models, you will be fine. Of course those are AWD too - as are all X5's. 275 front, 315 rear - just go with stock 4.8is sizes and you are good to go.

just do it already. either you want them or not. they will fit and the new set of tires will run you about 900. get ready
