X5 rear tail/brake light dims...

The other day my X5 right rear/brake light bulb blew out. Went to Autozone and picked up a new bulb (Sylvania 7506LL). After I replaced the bulb, I noticed the light would dim high then low then high again. Didn't think much of it, but then today while driving got the "check rear lights" "check brake lights" on the dash. When I got home checked the right rear/brake light again... the light was still dimming and at one point the light just dimmed off.

Anybody experience this?? Do I need a new bulb socket?? Any help would be grateful. Thanks...

I did... but most people's problems are burnt out bulbs, soldering, holes in the socket, replacing with led's etc... Unfortunately my lights are dimming high, low... etc.
