Door squeaks when closing

I've recently noticed that the driver's door makes a loud squeak when closing. It happens just before the latch engages. I think the latch can be adjusted for alignment. Has anyone done this? Does the latch require lubrication?

yeah i think you just need a bit of lubrication.. try some WD40 i am sure that would help. Or if you are in a rainy area you should try something different other than WD40.

So after using liberal amounts of WD40 on the latch and silicone on the seals without any results I've finally isolated the squeak to the upper part of door panel. A while back the dealer had to open up the door to reconnect the harness so it may not have been reassembled properly.

I finally got around to fixing this by replacing the the door panel clip closest to the side mirror. Two of the prongs were cracked so it was too weak to hold but gripped just enough to squeak every time I closed the door.

I can't believe I put up with it for over 3 years when all that was required was a 2 minute fix.
