Transmission? please tell me no.

Ok, so I had my front and rear brakes redone a few weeks back as well as the bushings - driving much better. Unfortunately, I am feeling a slight hesitation from first to second from a stop and occasionally it seems like the rpms go a little deeper than before when changing gears (whole thing just feels sluggish and slow in response).

I hear no whistling or sounds from front end (no clunking), and it seems no one else i car can feel it at all. I've tried to read as much as possible but can't put my finger on it - its an 04 3.0 with 46k (lightly pushed when driven).

It's really starting to drive my crazy and has been only very recent, anyone have any ideas? I also remember reading about resetting the x's response to new drivers - could that have something to do with it? If it goes to the dealer, is there a cost form them to check?

first thing first, fluid levels.

definitely a rookie here... so just check tranny fluid level?

you'd want to start there as low trans fluid could call slow or slamming shifts. However, this is rarely the issue in a Bimmer that new. You may be on your way to the dealer. But start with fluid

one thing i forgot to mention.... i do feel a little jerk when putting car into and out of park unless i have the brake pressed down low (which i should be doing anyways) does that info give you any more insight?

May want a dealer to scan it to see if it is throwing any codes
