4,8IS bumpers mounted on 3,0D 2004

Yeah! Finaly Ive got the 4,8 trim I always wantet, on my car. There where som problems during the mounting. I hade orderd these parts:

51127062601 Rear
51127062599 Rear side
51127062600 Rear side
51117146579 Front

I wanted the front with PDC and without headlight cleaners, but I got in in reverse... So I hade to drill holes in the brand new bumper for the PDC ang weld the sensor holders to the new bumper. U can hardly see what Ive done, but it isnt like original.

Well well, the car looks fine now:-) Ive also installed a tuning box, so now there is 258 Hp and 500 Nm i my Diesel X5:-)

The only thing thats missing on the outside now is 2 cm spacers on the 19" wheels and a 4,8 lookalike ex.pipe..

Added some pictures here;

Before:
Front

Rear

After:
Front

Rear

I also seen that there is 2 seperate part numbers on the lower and upper trim! Hmm.. Everyone has sad that you have to order the hole bumper. Look at these pictures:

Part nr:
Upper

Lower

Heres the PDC monting pictures:
With PDC

Without PDC

*Puh*

That is one disturbing avatar.

Oh yeah looks great btw! I've always wanted a sterling silver X with a 4.8 kit. And i guess you're the first one to have the 4.8 look with style 132 wheels. Me so jealous.

Thx!
I like the 20" 4,8IS wheels, but i like the handling vs comfort on the 132 19" better. And the price on the rubber:-)

Why did you take the rear off? The bottom piece is basically a bolt on mod... Looks great.

I found the ride better with 20's than when I had 19's

On my old X5 I upgraded to 4,6 20" wheels. Perfekt match, but the car was too hard. On norwegian roads that is.

Last weekend I mountet the 4,8IS pipes on my Diesel exhoust. Not perfekt, but looks great!

That looks very nice. I love the picture of the diesel exhausts. They look so unusual compared to the gasoline version.
