Battery replacements causes multi subsystems to fail
Well the Battery in My 2003 X5 was on its way out. Thinking this was a relatively easy job I took it to NTB where they replaced it with an H7-85 AH 80 battery.
When I picked up the card the door locks, windows, and windshield wipers no longer worked and when you turnoff the car the the alarm goes sounds. It almost seems like the car is in some anti-theft mode. After getting pissed at the NTB people and then realizing they were clueless and would be no help I took the car home hoping this was a reset or blow fuse issue. When I got the car home I discovered ODC port does not work and the interior light and the sunroof no longer work. However the front windows did start working again the rears still don't work. I check fuses for the affected subsystems and they are all intact. Has anyone had this happen to them? Johnnycpoc |

That battery is too small for the X anyways... you need at least a 90 AH battery. I still can't figure out why people don't just buy OEM batteries on vehicles that have extensive electronics that are picky like these are.
