Brakes light - how to change?
I need to change a break light on my 2002 X5 3.0. Ok I took two 8mm bolts off the retaining folding door of the trunk, but the lights cover does not come off. Am I missing something here? Tried hard to take it off but I suspect it may be another screw there. Do I have to take all plastic off? DG |

I must be really dumb. Where is the third nut? Can't find it.
RealOEM.com BMW E53 X5 3.0i Rear light in trunk lid Here you can see 2 holes in the gasket, these are the bolts that I took off. |

What a pain. It is not a bad bulb afterall, some wiring problem I guess. All is super tidy and clean inside led panel, does not seem to be a socket connection problem. Gotta take voltmeter now.

dgrand. There is NOT a brake light in there. Only reverse. The brake lights are to the right and left (tail lights).
It's the bottomost bulb if I recall |
