2003 X5 What is that little clear plastic piece in ashtray
what is the clear plastic circular plastic piece on the left side of the ashtray below the cigarette holder for??? I popped out the plastic piece and pushed my aux cable through that hole, but am wondering what its for? will the cig lighter still work (it does, but wondering if that just luck due to how the cable is positioned at the moment). thanks for the info. Marc

Oh, the one on the side, under the metal plate... That is just for the light. Nothing to worry about.
