Flat repair done, now the left rear sits too high...
Last week towing the race car from VIR back to Chicago, I was fortunate enough to stop for fuel in such a way that I noticed a screw in the left rear tire. Since I was in Beckeley WV on Memorial Day, everything was closed except Walmart. It's against all my senses to have Walmart work on a BMW but no choice. They were nice enough and would only plug the tire, wouldn't remove the tire from the rim because they said they don't work on 19" wheels. But they stopped the leak and I was on my way home another 500 miles safely.
However, they jacked up just the left rear of the X5 to pull the tire off. Now the left rear sits about 1/2" too high (self leveling rear air bags) and pulls to the right. They couldn't have physically damaged anything because they never had a hand or tool in the wheelwell other than taking the tire off. Could the self levelling have "relearned" the new height during the 1/2 our the left rear was up in the air with the suspension dangling down? Can't imagine why but with all the quirks these X5's have, you never know.

not sure if it can relearn like that. My guess is air leaking in one of your struts,or faulty compressor there. Or try to reset car maybe,by disconnecting negative wire from battery for 30 mins and then connect back, see if it will cure that first.

No leaks and the compressor is working fine. After the flat repair when I hooked my trailer back up, the compressor raised the rear just fine, but with the left rear still too high. And after 500 towing miles everything worked fine other than that. I can try the battery reboot and see what happens.
