X5 4.8is Battery Dimension

Hi all,

I've been searching the forum trying to get the dimensions for the battery of a 4.8is but couldn't find any info. Can anyone tell me what the dimensions are? I need to find a replacement battery here in Manila, Philippines. I am expecting the car to arrive this weekend (from Los angeles) and it has been in transit for more than a month so I'm sure I'll need a new battery.

I believe the batteries for the X5s, is either a T8 or H8 DIN size. In terms of dimensions, I believe it is:

Length 13 16/15"
Width 6 15/16"
Height 7 1/2"
Height 6 7/8" (T8)
I would double check with your local BMW dealer or any dealer of car batteries. THe only physical difference between the H8 and T8 is that the H8 is taller.

Phil, I thought importing used BMWs to the Philippine is banned?

Yes, it is banned. Mine got in through an international organization based in Manila with valid tax exemption.
