where is the air filter ???

I want to change the air filter on my e 53 from 2003.
but i don't know where is the air filter

can someone help me ?

Cabin air? It's in the center at the very back at the firewall.

Engine Air Filter? The square box on the left (at least on my 4.8is) side front.

if you have diesel engine then i think it is hiding on the intake manifold .
try a search on this forum and you may find a better answer on diesel engine .
or try the home page link to E53 then online parts catalogue .
