I would try to get a better deal from the dealer. The warranty starts with the first in service date and it looks about a year left OR 6k miles. So, if you plan on driving around 6k miles during the next year, great. If you do a lot of driving, the 6k miles will go fast as will the warranty coverage. Looks like a solid car. Be sure to check everything, but the dealer will probably fix any problems under warranty. Good Luck!

I recently purchased pretty much the exact same vehicle, only difference is the interior color.
The in service date on mine was 12/07, still covered under the factory warranty for only another 5k. I then fortunately have CPO until 12/12. I paid about $2500 more for my vehicle but honestly I wouldnt drive this thing without some sort of warranty. I have already had to take it in once and its going back in next week ![]() Actually looking into doing a trade for a 3 series at the dealer. Love the X but I think for the type of driving I do, back and forth to work and around town its too much vehicle. |

Well, you can have an indy or dealer check it out and have them look at the usual items, control arm bushings etc. I actually found a used '04 X on Bimmerforums and bought it. Loaded, well taken care of, 51k miles with no warranty. $22k. Put in another $1500 to take care of a few issues and it's fine now. Went with an '04 because we already have 4 cars and just needed an SAV once and awhile. Just make sure you feel comfortable when you buy it. If you don't, walk...simple.

Too much for a non-CPO vehicle.

the warranty expires 2/28/2010, or 55,000miles. the maintance plan has ended as well. the original expiration date for the warranty was 11/30/2009 but includes a 3 month DEMO extension.
