Aux. heating/vent

I updated my nav with SW32 Day/night and the "Aux. heating/vent" dissapeared from the menu
I restored it with SW -32 oem but nothing. I can't use the "Aux. heating/vent" because it isn't in the menu

Aux Heat deleted.

Hi,

I've just had something similar happen to mine ?
I recently bought a 2005 3.0d & I am positive it had auxilary heating / vent listed on the screen, ( this is unusual in the UK where they normally only have aux vent as standard even though the heater is fitted ? ) I even remember showing my mate when I got the car. Anyway I never got around to testing it & in the meantime bought a V32 sat nav update disc for my MK4 system. Loaded this all ok but when I went to test the aux heater a few days later the option has gone
Still got auxilary vent but no heat option.
Asked on a UK forum & the original disc supplier but no-one ever had the same problem, I was starting to think I had imagined it but it appears you have had the same thing happen albeit with a different system.

Regards Phil.

Hi,

I've still got Auxilary vent showing ( & working ), it's the heating that disappeared.
I would suggest you need to ask your dealer update your software to have the function re-installed. It should be straight forward to do as all the hardware is still there. Not sure what they will charge though.
I'm going to fit an after market remote relay so I can operate mine from the house rather than have to time it to come on.
There is a lot of info on this on www.x5drivers.co.uk & it's quite straight forward. As I said the X5 does not come with heat option as standard in the UK for some reason

Hope this helps, Phil.
P.S. if you do find an easy way to re-instate it please let me know.

Thanks a lot Phil
