drill rotors are supposed to run cooler. more air flow to help remove the gas and heat buildup during braking.
did you clean the all brake parts and rim before you put the axxis back in? could it be residual brake dust from the oem pads prior to the axxis? |

good point
i did clean the chrome part of the rim after install was done but have not cleaned anything else. That's a good point , i thing i'll take of the rim and clean the whole thing and the calipers. Geeeez that's gonna take a few hours

I have Axxis deluxe with Brembo x-drill rotors. And no dust. I cleaned the inside of the wheels pretty well before installation, so you shouldn't have any either.
