Nice one mate. Thanks. That place is literally 400 metres from my house!

Dunno if I'll buy the bar tho.. I'll have to find a picture of a silver 5 with one to see what they look like...

Cheers
Scott.

Weasel will become famous soon enough
I was about to say it was installed off center, but see the guys hand holding it up for the picture...

Nudge bar installation

I bought the nudge bar from the guys at Fairfield, turns out its the same place I bought my X5 from a couple of weeks earlier. Prestige warehouse on Heidleberg Rd. It was at the service division a couple of K,s further down the road. They wanted a huge amount of money to install it so I thought I would try put it on myself. Trouble is it has four bolts but no bolt holes on the car. Does anyone know how to install one? Do you just drill holes in the bumper? Any help would be appreciated, Thanks, Paul.

Hi Paul,
Glad you were able to get yourself that nudge bar. I've got one, my X came with it. I'll take close up pics tomorrow for you. Sorry I'm not really sure how one fits it, hopefully 'weasel' will come back with instructions.

What colour is your X ?? Are you going to match panel colour or leave it matt black, gloss black ?? Mine's matt black.

On a side note did you get to see if the vendor had any other parts for sale ?? If so, what were they ?? As you'd appreciate finding wrecked X5's out here is like finding rocking horse shit

Cheers,
Foomph

Nudge bar help

My X5 is silver, no I think I will leave the bar black I reckon unless its alum alloy it would look crappy sprayed Silver. I had the windows tinted darker than legal and gas put on all at the same time. Melbourne to Ballarat $7.00 worth of gas and mine is the 4.4 ltr!! Total cost was $4800 but I needed new plugs, oil change and filter. Never trust Service agents they never change anything. This is the second car I,ve owned that was supposed to be fully serviced but its quite evident it wasnt. I hope Weasel can give me instructions and I am looking forward to your pics. Sounds as if you may have to take the bumper off to fit it.

By the way he (David) at Prestige said he can get anything I need for my car so they are definetly the people to talk to. He has some great 20" rims and tyres $2800 change over. I think my wheels must be rare because I havent seen them on a single car on Carsales. My cd stacker was missing so I bought one of those $7.00 FM mp3 transmitters off ebay plugs into the cig lighter and transmits to 88.7 on the radio, I put over 200 songs on a 4 GB flash drive and I,ve been listening to it for about a week now sounds great!!

How much grunt has the three Liter got? I had a 3.4 Ltr Prado and it was a bit gutless on hills thats why I went for the 8 Cyl 4.4 X. I would have thought the 3.0 would be very slow considering its a heavier car than the GXL (Prado)
