I was afraid for the same reasons and a few more, i.e., quality, what's that red shit in the middle of the X, etc.

I was very pleasantly surprised. The quality is excellent. Size, it's identical. I was also surprised it came with the '5' as well. Tomorrow, I intend to swap the '5' as well to be able to clean three years of crud from around the '5'. Also, the red material seems to be a high quality plastic and it raises to a ridge in the center.

But, I have to mention that it came from China or Taiwan. Overf the last two weeks, I've bought a piston keyring (about 1.5" in length and has a ///M in the center of the piston top) and some CF roundels for the rims, steering wheel and hood and trunk lid. Everything was dirt cheap and postage was free. But it all came REGISTERED! I had to sign for everything. I don't see how they're making a profit...

Little tasteful mods like this make you stand aside the rest. Re RR's front grill = unique, yet very nice.

Interested to know if you plan on continuing this theme on both front fenders with the engine size badges (are they available ??)

Please come back with more pics.

Will do with more pics. I'm not sure I understand your comment regarding the front grill. What I have in mind is to paint the hood vents and the kidney surround the same color as the X, namely Black Sapphire Metallic. The center slats I'll probably go wit flat black. Although, I have seen some good-looking mesh. But, I remember several years ago when the guy came out with the stuff. I asked him how one opens the hood with one needing to pull the latch. He said something like wire or rope... Don't think so.

There are three options I would ultimately like to do: 1. Swap my comfort seats for sport seats in the cream-beige color*. 2. Swap my rims for the 5-spokes of the 02-03 generation. 3. Install the sliding rear loading tray.

Then, if I hit the lottery... upgrade to a set of Rotora calipers front and rear. And, btw, if anyone cares, Stillen carries cross-drilled rotors for our 4.8is rotors (larger than the 3.0 and 4.4 rotors). The price is very muc in line and I have been running a full set on my kid's Honda Civic Si and my wife's Lexus GS300 with NO problems whatsoever.

* - Hint! If there is anyone wanting to swap only the front seats, let me know. Again, the color must be cream-beige. I have the comfort seats and am looking for the sport seats.

Hmmm, I think I would leave it with only the "X" being red (not change the "5")

The '5' comes in chrome. Not in Red.
