final-stage-resistor

Evening all, hope you are enjoying a fault free driving experience. I’ve had a good year so far so not as bad as last.

I do need to replace my final stage resistor as my battery is being drained over night without fail.

Regarding the below link if the car is a UK i.e. passenger on the left hand side which side will the resistor be on?

http://www.xoutpost.com/articles/x5/electronics-x5/9471-final-stage-resistor-replacement-bmw-x5.html-replacement-bmw-x5.html

Thanks
B

i think it is on the right side .
if you look around www.x5drivers .co.uk you will find a diy for UK cars .
i think the resistors are all on the same side . just different panels to remove depending what side the steering wheel is on .

Isambard is an unknown quantity at this point

I did mine on my e39 M5 a couple of years back, and it was on the right hand side. I know its a different car but BMW's are usually quite generic. A bit fiddly but do-able in half an hour.

Good luck
