This is a cool X5 (kind of spam, but wow)

I take care of a few car collections in the San Diego area. I know the guys at Cavallo Motorsports in Carlsbad and this X5 is just insane. Truth be known it's probably been posted here and the owner may even be a member. I don't know who the owner is, but this is on consignment at Cavallo and was just an incredibly well put together custom X5. God only knows how much money the guy invested on all the work. It's a one of a kind 2001 3.0, that's for sure. I have nothing to do with the sale of this car, but was just in the showroom chatting with the guys and this just caught my attention. Being X5 folks here, I thought you'd like a look. If me posting this link here isn't cricket, let me know.

tan interior with seat covers, tvs in headrest, and tv on the dash with all the wiring exposed in the trunk. pass

i would of done it the right way, which would be to retrofit the BMW Nav, and Video Module, and install the BMW rear seat entertainment, 3.0 supercharged? thats cool and all. but the wheels are not my kind of thing.

Weasel will become famous soon enough
You can definately tell it was set up like that years ago... they used a frickin VHS tape player! Looking through the pics I was not impressed until I saw the supercharger... That is pretty cool for the 3.0i, but most members on this board that have any kind of mobile video playback setup have done better than that one has. Very old school setup like what you would expect to see in a dropped chevy blazer at a car show.

I think it was all done 6 or 7 years ago. Well taken care of though. The bodywork is done flawlessly. The coolest over the top feature I think is the fully functioning M3 paddle shift steering wheel. That and the fact that the interior leather was completely taken apart so contrasting piping could be added. Silly, but it's just incredibly well done and very subtle. Agreed that the VCR needs to go and at least stick a DVD in there instead. One thing for sure is that this looks like no X5 I've ever seen. I'm not a bling guy at all but this thing is just really nice.
