I agree. the more you come to this board, the more you think V8 is cool. Actually my 3.0i is giving me enough power and it's strong enough to jump to 80mph in a short time.
Save money and save gas, stuck with your current 3.0 V6.

4.4 vs 3.0 are rated at same mpg. 3.0 is easier to work on though, and if you have any other 3.0 in your bmw family, will most likely use same oil filter, oil, plugs, etc

V6? That would be an in-line or straight six. Sorry to be pedantic...

maybe your not familiar with your car, but the 3.0 is a I6 and it gets worse gas milage than the v8.

My typo I6 i mean. sometimes i just typing... killcrap, straight six smaller 3.0i engine burns more gas than those 4.4i/4.8i?

I don't care about how strong 4.4i but 3.0 is enough and last long, less trouble than 4.4/4.8. I agree that the 4.4/4.8 trucks look sporty and stronger.

You have your own choice, i do have my own choice.

Statistics show that pre-owner 3.0 X5 is more reliable than 4.4/4.8.

I6 has to work harder to get the 4450lbs truck up to speed. They say the 3.0 is more reliable because there is more of them out there.

Killcrap, i know that it's harder to speed up with straight 6 engine w/ 225hp while only 265lbs less heavier than the 4.4L with 315hp. However, i still think it burn less gas than the 4.4/4.8L respectively.
The 3.0i are more than out there because consumers love more 3.0i and its price is more affordable and less maintenance cost.

Moh, leave me alone bud. I have seen you are sitting here to post, reply over months in order to increase your post number and trying to sell your parts. However, what i have seen during the CT meet in June, i can tell you are a guy who doesn't know about X5 mods and upgrade. The simple replacement HID ballast fixing some error that you never know how to fix. you need help from Tom and he helped you while i was there.

If i were you, i don't want to spend a lot of money and time to do the mod or showing off people if i don't know how to do things such HID ballast replacement. Upon returning to me, i do mods and when i know how to do it myself (just my opinion)

Please don't use those shit or stupidity, they don't apply to me.
