Got new headlight bulbs

Well, last night, I followed twinspoppa's DIY. Very helpful DIY! I changed my 4 yr old Philips D2S 85122's with some Philips 85122+ (purchased from TheRetrofitSource.com). These bulbs are not suppose to colour shift and they stay their true colour and luminosity (300 more than 85122's) throughout their life. I took the X for a spin afterwards and could not believe the difference. Before, I would always run my fogs so I could see the road clearly. Now, it's like the fogs are turned on when they are actually turned off. There is also a very crisp, purple cut-off that I just love.

If any of you guys are looking for the Philips 85122+'s, contact The Retrofit Source. These guys know what they are talking about and these bulbs are pretty rare and hard to get.

Pictures are soon to come.

did you replace your xenon bulbs? After how many miles do you think yours started to dim, because my gf has a 2006 and hers look alot brighter/bluer than my 2004 xenons.

most bulbs "colourshift" after 75 hours by 500-800 kelvins. My bulbs only had 27k miles on them. They did produce a pretty blue colour, but I was spoiled by my Audi's headlights and the light produced by them. Now, the X matches the Audi more, but still not as bright.

The 85122+'s do not color shift and keep their white appearance over their entire life.

You mean "colorshift" by 500-800 kelvin? Lumen is a light output intensity measurement. It's weird that your headlights would produce that much bluish color this soon. My '04 is still producing a pretty white light output, but not as white as the 5000k I installed on my brother's car
