Door Lock acuator HELP

I have been searching for the last hour for a DIY on the door lock acuator for the E53.

I found a lot of discussion but no DIY. I checked the articles and no cigar.

I went out this morning 26 degrees and the driver door lock doesn't work with the key fob or the console button. The door unlocks with key, the other 3 unlock fine.

I think this should be an easy fix, right?

No DIY write up with pictures, but I spent sometime on search button here and found someone do step-by-step. Now I can't even locate that thread.
What I did was to pry open a black oval plastic cover on the driver side door, it's hard so use small regular scredriver, shine flash light in there to see where you want to spray WD40/PB-blaster ect, use the long straw to make sure you spray only the door actuator. I just don;t like to spray indiscriminately in there. That 'll coat the metal parts so when moisture freeze over it won't make them stuck together. Hope that helps a little.

Now a few hours later the rear driver is also not working in addition to the front driver actuator... hmmm?

Is it cold where you are.?? The 26 degrees, is that F or C.. ( Im not used to F)

To cold weather could cause the doors to malfunction.. In case, there is a another thread i have..

If not, some people say they got away with lubing the actuator, probably WD-40 would be better than grease.. Others say they have to replace the actuator..

I have the same problem on my driver side door.. I got a new actuator from ebay, and thinking about replacing it soon..

how much for actuator on ebay?

My driver door actuator failed gradually. I think just use as my car has
224,000 miles (2001). The passenger one fails intermittently also. I'd
love to just lube it and fix, but don't think that's the problem. I'm in
Florida so cold is not a factor.
How much was the actuator on Ebay? On Real OEM it's like $245!

Have you taken of your door panel lately.?? I had a problem with my driver door not locking properly.. It also didnt show up in the cluster as open, and the lights did not come on when i opened the drivers door..

IT turned out to be a bad connection on one of the plugs connected to the window panel...
