Car shutting down

I have experienced this several times on my 2002 3.0i. The engine shuts down 1)When I approach a red light and brakes 2) beginning to accelerate. This occurs usually when I am making a turn and slowing down. It doesn't happen all the time, once a week or so. Anyone else experience this? Any thoughts?

there is a software update that corrects this. mention idle dip to service advisor. another issue could be a torn intake boot at the idle air control valve.

Idle control Valve possibly. Have you had autozone or Advance check to see if you have thrown any codes. If Not check under the hood to see if any of your duct work for your air filter system is all intact and none of the hoses have cracks or places where the hose clamp has lossened up and has become disconected.
