water appear in the engine oil cap

I saw some water and oil mixed stuff in the engine oil cap during a recently oil change. I don't see any sign of water in the oil when the oil was drained. Have you seen a similiar problem in your X5? My is a 02 3.0i with 66000 miles.

Thanks

Weasel will become famous soon enough
That is common, especially on vehicles that have more short trips than long ones. In short trip driving situations the oil doesn't get hot enough for long enough to burn out any moisture, and it condensates at the cap forming that cheezy sludge. It is no reason to worry really, just clean it off.
