Just had some body work and paint work done. The body shop removed the 4.4i badges from the front fenders and I want them replace to exact original location....anybody have the factory specs?

I would tell them to remove them because they affixed them in the wrong place. If they do any damage to them or the finish of the X that is their liability.

Try a heat gun or a hair dryer if you don't have a heat gun. A piece of floss can help remove them as well once the adhesive behind the emblem is heated.

You can download the owner's manual from the BMW website. Go to one of the last pages in the owner's manual and it will show the position. It looks to me like the 4.4L emblem is the distance of the side marker height above the side marker light itself.

If the shop already placed them,I would let them remove them !I say this because if they applied them on fresh paint ,then it may leave a mark when you try to remove them.If they havent then ,I would advise fitting them a week or so after you get the car back.

Thanks all! After further review (and precise measurements) - they have been place in exact position.
