Question Just got an 02 X5 (see pic). Questions about upgrading Navigation.

I just bought an 02 X5 4.6is a few weeks ago. I'd like to upgrade the Nav OS on it. I looked through the FAQs and learned that I have the MK3 (3-1/40) V18 OS. My questions are as follows:

1) Is there a particular version you guys recommend that I should upgrade to? I don't want to upgrade to the latest/greatest version and run into performance issues.
2) Where can I download the CD? The (megaupload) link provided in other posts dont seem to be available anymore.

Please help.

Here is a pic of the ride.

I dont think you can upgrade MK3 to MK4, my mom also drives an 02 4.6is and that navi is terrible. We've had the dealership update it and we bought new CDs for it (i'm sure you can find them online also)

Beautiful X, i love the 4.6is

Btw the X5 logo on the back of your car is in the wrong spot..I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your truck was prob in an accident..

Did you replace the nav unit or was it just a software update? If software, what version did you update to?

Nice catch on the logo btw. I did check CarFax before I bought the car, knew that the car was rear ended in 2004. Had a local indy shop inspect it and they didn't find any major issues. So I'm not too concerned.... yet.

Not sure what a "drive" is. Do you mean I purchase a MK4 unit and replace my current one?
