Strange PDC Issue 01 X5 3.0ltr

All,

I've done some searching on the forum and i've found some interesting posts with regards to the issues some people experience with their PDC sensors. The issue im experiencing seems to be different yet again......

The reverse sensors are fine, they operate as they should. The front sensors operate as normal except when i get really close to something. As im getting closer the beeps start and get closer together the closer i get to the object, if i stop when its still at the beeping stage and then reverese further away the beeps stop and all is ok. However, if i get close enough that i hear the continues beep sound and then i reverse away from the object the continuous sound is still heard. This isnt the case all the time however as this morning i tested it and the beep went away after i reversed far enough away.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Mike

perform a diagnostic request of all the sensors, and see which one has a delay. the measurment in MM will stay longer than other sensors/

yes that would be the only way to find out what the problems is, short of replacing all 8 sensors, wiring harness, and control unit.
