If you are running rich, you either aren't getting enough air into the engine, there is a malfunction with the fueling system that is effecting both banks, or there is something in the combustion chamber that is causing the ECU to add fuel.
How is your mileage, power, does the car smell funny when you drive it? Start with the easiest thing to rule out and go from there.

Check the rubber air boot at the throttle body for leaks or any of the vacuum lines.

Had the same problem...check both hoses from the oil separator at the end of the engine. You will need to take the cover off - mine were almost melted

Sounds familiar. I had same problem. The material that the hoses were made of got all spongy and soft. BTW, hoses are on the back end of engine and are about 1/2" in diameter and go from left to right. Too bad they don't use quality materials... at $80 per hose (if I rememeber correctly)... should be better quality.

BMW'S MANUFACTURE could have done so much to avoid these hoses from being melted down by the heat of the engine. There's even an easy way they could have done so, by covering separately the hoses with some aluminum foil like a heat shield, to keep them away and cool; Or separate them from seating on top of the intake manifold by putting some: hard box paper under the hoses just like I did for mine.
