I'll add that Michelin makes a blade just like the Icon. I have used both and they work very well.

On the rear, they leave a patch unwiped. Will try the alcohol wipe.
The unwiped patch is due to dirt in the hinge and a weak pressure spring on the arm. Wash the hinge, apply some WD40, work the hinge until it loosens, and then wipe off all excess WD40.

Just picked up some icons. Pep Boys had all icons on clearance, but only X5 size they had was 421B ($11.00!). Wish I could have found all of them there as the rebate would have made all three about $15-20 total.

PS-Anyone used/heard about Goodyear wipers? They were tempting @ Costco for $7.99 ea.

I tried the Goodyear wipers on our 3 series and wasn't happy with them. Their 20 inch wiper for the passenger side wasn't anywhere close enough to forming to the curve of the windshield, but Bosch Icon 420B's also didn't form perfectly. They also don't have a "cover" for the attachment like the Bosch Icons, so they look like they could get stolen easily by somebody with a keen eye. They do clip on the same way as Bosch Icons, so they should theoretically work fine.

Hey, I have a quick question about changing wipers blades on the X. Do I need to change the complete assembly? or just the rubber blade? reason I am asking is that i bought a set of the Bosch Micro Edge and i was about to change them... ( unhooked the old ones from the arm ) and I noticed that I would not be able to retain that broad piece of plastic that is attached to the driver side arm.

Sooo. I stopped.. and rethink the situation.. and decided not to change anything yet.

Any input?

You will need to go buy the blade re-fills or Bosch Icon (or similar) wiper that comes with it's own spoiler built-in.

^ this

or you can risk having poor wiper performance on the highway with potentially higher wind noise.

Got the ICONS a week ago for a northern trip with lots of snow/slush - should have done it a while ago...
