Is this maintenance overkill?

I have the parts to have all of this done already. It is for a 2001 4.4i with 93k. I want to keep this thing going for a long time!

2001 X5 Work List:
Valve Cover Gasket
Valley Pan Gasket
Intake Manifold Gasket
Exhaust Manifold Gasket
Fuel Filter
Transmission Fluid
Transfer Case Fluid
Differential Fluid
Brake Fluid
Oil Seperator and hoses
Spark Plugs
Both Front Axles

Already had the entire coolant system done. Did I leave anything out? Should I take anything off the list?

Sounds like you're taking care of most of the engine in one fell swoop! The omly common leak (that just started on mine at 93k) is the front upper timing cover gaskets. They like to leak right where they meet the valve cover gaskets at the top corners. Since you will already have the valve covers off it would be a perfect time to get those done as you need to remove them to do the job anyways.

The front upper timing cover gaskets, cam sensor o-rings and vanos solenoid seals can be added to your otherwise pretty damn complete list.

Oh, and get the rear cover for the manifold also as it holds the rubber diaphragm for the oil seperator system.

Why did you change the axles? Were the cv boots bad or was there something else going on?

Anyone know where I can get the vanos solenoid seals? Can't find them anywhere.

BavAuto is telling me the vanos is a v6 issue and they don't have the part for the v8. Am I missing something here?
