Fan Noise in Cabin ?

2005 4.8 - 35,000 mi
Sitting at idle, just noticed a " fan " noise ??. Is very faint, and seems to cycle low speed / hi speed. I guess it could also be a pump of some sort?
Any ideas ???
thx.

Could it be the fuel pump....?

In case, it would be kinda whining, and should be louder on the right side in the backseat.....

Me too. I wish I knew where I could spray some lub, so it will go away. It's been there for years.

I have the same issue. Spoke to my mechanic and he said it could be the blower motor or a resistor starting to go.

I had brought mine in under warranty and they told me it was 'normal'.

Could it be the air pump for the self leveling suspension?

It's the Control Unit Box fan, #4 on the diagram. It moderates the temperature in the box by blowing cabin air though it from the driver's footwell area.

Question answered !..thanks rayxi. So.....the fan noise is " normal ", and just something my hearing has become sensitive to, or is it indicative of a future problem ?
