It was breathing a sigh of relief that the stress over the oil separator valve had died down?

Sorry, couldn't resist. Air suspension?

No. My comment was that after all your stress over your oil separator, the car was simply breathing a sigh of relief. Joke.

More likely to be air suspension.

I hear mine do this everytime I turn it off. I figured it was normal, nobody else has this? It's kind of a hiss of air coming from what I assume is some emissions control device...

that noise is normal on 6cyl, it is releasing the vaccum left inside the oil separator. if the engine did not make this noise, then the diagphram has failed.
