JavX5 is on a distinguished road
What are there differences between a 2004 4.4i vs a 2005 4.4i?

I'm new to the forum and will be buying an 4.4i X5 in the very near futuren (4th Bimmer, but 1st X5). I'm wondering if there are any significant changes or improvements from a 2004 model to a 2005.

From what I've seen so far, I see no cosmetic differences between the two, but I'm wondering about any mechanical improvements from one year to the next. Consumer reports rates the 2005 much better than the 2004 in overall reliability and they don't like the V8 at all.

I'm open to all opinions and suggestions
