another GT1 question

Hi guys,
so I connected everything, I still get the message that there is no voltage at terminal 15.....I am guessing it refers to pin # 15 in the round sockect under the hood, and there is no connector there !!! if not, am I supposed to swap something in there? please help, can't get beyond that with the gt1
Thanks!!

Okay, you have a facelift model (2004+) if you don't have the round OBD terminal in the engine compartment.

That means you are connecting through the OBDII terminal under the dash on the driver side.

Are you using the HDD installed DIS or the vmware version?

Can't remember but someone had this same problem before. Things to check:
1. Make sure the diagnostic head is recognized by the system.
2. Make sure you have the connector on with a good fit. It can get loose very easily at the OBDII port.
3. Make sure ignition is turned to position 1 or 2.
4. If Number 3 doesn't work try with the engine ON - so yes, start the engine. It does no harm for simple diagnosis connection.
5. If Number 4 worked then you need to get a charger/PS - your battery may be bad or just not giving enough voltage.

I'm thinking if you had a faulty diagnostic head then you probably wouldn't be getting that error, but I could be wrong.

Thank you very much for the info!
ok here's what I got:
1.- it's a 2000 E53, round connector under the hood.
2.- I am using the vmware version
3.- also, when the dashboard lights up, that is position 2, right??

I believe so. When you put the key in the ignition- turn the key partly until you get accessoried (pos1). Turn more and that would be pos2. Turn again and it would crank the engine.

I don't use the vmware version as I found its very slow with the laptop I have. Doesn't mean don't use the vmware version - just not for my setup.

Let us know how you make out.

Try hooking everything up, place the switch in position 2, and then power on the computer.
My GT-1 has a mind of its own. Never could get self test to work and Yoho was no help what so ever.
