Tail light difference?

I am trying to get a new tail light for the x5, mines a 05 and i found these on ebay, 2001-2003 BMW X5 E53 SMOKE LED TAIL LIGHTS LAMPS 2002:eBay Motors (item 190358288445 end time Jan-13-10 16:30:14 PST)

It says its for 00 to 03 but whats the difference of those years to my 05? and anyone no a good way of tinted tail lights? i want a light tint not a dark one.

I used these wiring diagrams for wiring 06 tail lights to my 02. Think it'll work for you too. Just reverse the procedure.

From what I remember, like two pins are switched around for some reason. Sorry I don't have a better answer, but it might be out there somewhere on here
