Looks like I'll be spending this weekend replacing the valley pan ('03 4.4 93K miles). Had the X on the lift today for its monthly inspection...saw the greenish/blue coolant residue build up between the transmission and the engine block, which explains why the coolant has been getting low in the past weeks. I thought it was the heater (don't use it much here in tropical Tampa).
How do I recognize the new design vs. the old valley pan?
I think I've read most of the postings on valley pan on the forum. This will be my first DIY on the valley pan.
Any sage advice is greatly appreciated.
