Help installing front vanity plate on X5

I recently purchased a German vanity plate for the front of the truck. If anyone can coach me as to the proper way to install it, it would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to know exactly what mounting screws/bolts/or push pins I should use to ensure stability and to provide a good look. I really don't want to "go out on a limb" and try installing without help for fear that I will be buying a new bumper. Thanks in advance....Jamie

Yes - as long as your back license plate is the legitimate one.

Wait...why?

Am I missing something- I see these around quite a bit and don't quite get why you would install a plate from a country that the car isn't registered (or even built) in.

To each there own.

Hence the word "vanity" plate. Guessing since it is a German car, put German plates on it thus sticking to country of origin. Just a guess. Personally, I just like them.

You would need one of these plastic licence plate holders. It can be fastened with couple of phillips srews direcly to the bumper. Better option is to get oem licence plate base(see realoem diagram) and fasten the same thing on it.
