bchurch05 is on a distinguished road
play in water pump fan shaft
wife threw the belt in our 02 4.6 tonight. and in the process of looking at it seems as though there is slight play in the fan shaft coming out of the water pump play is up and down not so much in and out. how much play is acceptable if any?
my assumption is that the water pump may be bad
i looked around and could not find any info on play in that shaft.

also do you think its ok to drive a little to get it in the garage. it is cold here and i would rather not work on it out side.
