'06 4.8is Oil Separator Issue(s) question...
I'm fairly new to the forum and am trying to learn as much as I can about preventing the major problems that can come up on my X5.
Despite my best search efforts, I am unable to find specific info on this issue for the 4.8is. I am just trying to find out if the oil separator valve (or equivalent part) on the '06 4.8is can be upgraded to a "cold-climate" version or have the electric heat-wrap insulation added to it. If anyone would be kind enough to answer this for me or provide a link, etc. I'd really appreciate it. I'm sure it's already been answered here so I apologize in advance, I just haven't had luck finding it yet. Thanks. Rey |

no 2004-2006 x5 v8 has this problem, if the diagphram ruptures on this car, the check engine lamp will come on, and lean mixture faults will set.
