water in the trunk where the sub fits
I sometimes find water at the bottom of the compartment that is used for the custom sub (essam sub). I had placed a rag at the bottom and i found it wet. I did wash the car a few days before and it did rain and i am now wondering if there is a leak somewhere...
Does anyone have this situation? is this meant to be some sort of a drain of water comming from the top? |

I think most E53s suffer from this! My local Indy is still trying to figure it out but its very puzzling. Be interested so see if anyone here has ever identified the cause.

Most likely leaking from either the rear sunroof cassette drains or right at the tail light. Should be able to track it down with a water hose. I'd check the tail light first just for the sake of isolation, as checking the sunroof will wet the tail lights too.

hmmm... maybe the tailgate.. cause i wash with a hose and sometimes concentrate the water on that area..... i think normal rainfall is ok.. its just when i use the hose and is able to focus the water on certain areas.... will investigate after the winter...
