Repaint question

Hey Fellas,

Since my wifey backed into another car and scrapped the rear bumper a bit, I've been thinking about having it resprayed and then possibly redoing all the lower black trim like the fender flare and parts of the bumper that are black plastic. I would think it would make it a tad more modern and similar to the X5M. What do you guys think?

JT

I have seen a few photos of e53's with that treatment and it is not for me. I personally like the black trim contrast on the "is" body kit.

To have the complete bumper colour coded, seems an overkill!I saw one E53 close up and to me it looks like the sprayer didnt want to bother putting tape on the bumper,so as not to spray the black trim.
It may look fantastic on X5M but it does have a different design bumper.
I personally prefer the black trim and I have the 4.8is rear spoiler.

There are a few members here with the whole bumper painted..Just check it out for yourself!

its a gamble but your 4.8 would be that one that could make it look great.
