LCM wiring , and door lock actuator questions
Hi all,
I have an issue with my passenger side marker light(small light right in front of psngr door). I’m trying to trace wires to do a continuity test to see about non-operating issues. It is NOT the bulb. Does anyone know which wire pack of the 3 connections going into LCM that these 2 wires would be in?!? Also, both my rear doors will not unlock(they both lock) using either fob or central console button. I tried a “key in 1st position, remove(then reinstall) the 2 small plug harnesses into driver control panel on door”, but that did not help. The kid preventative switches on both doors are OFF. I did replace a window clip on psngr side window and that’s when issue began. Any suggestions for either?!? Thanks Steve

Is there power at the light terminal? Was the battery disconnected? Try synchronizing the keys to it. My Bentley manual might have the LCM pin out. I'll have to look. What are the wire colors?

Make sure that there are no problems with the socket for the side marker, if you are going to need to trace wiring then you should get wiring diagrams. For the door lock problem there is probably a connector not plugged in all the way when you had the door apart.

Hi all,
X5chemist, the wire colors are blue(with yellow stripe) and orangish brown. I tried to upload pic of it from my phone, but it was too large. The socket area is REALLY small, so I’m trying to figure out how to get my red/blue leads in there to take multimeter readings. Does the socket come apart(I see what looks like 2 parts, with maybe a retainer that can be unclipped to open up socket). Wish I could figure out how to post pics! 80stech, I guess I’ll have to take panel off again and check out internals. I did not remove neg cable from batt when I did the clip replacement. Thanks to both of you for the help and advice! Steve
