Anyone replace their daytime running bulbs with whiter bulbs?

Anyone? If so which ones did you use to closely match the OE HIDs?

The DRL are just the headlight bulbs lit up with limited wattage.

Unless you don't always drive with the HID's on, I think the best option is having a dealer or indy disable them. Takes 3 minutes and if they aren't grumpy they will do it for free.

I think he's referring to the angel eye bulb, considering he has a facelift front, 04-06.

I was referring to the DRLs which are the high beam bulbs. I dont mind them being on, but the color could be whiter matching the OE HIDs.

Well you could get colored bulbs...just an example:
PIAA, PIAA Lights, PIAA Bulbs, PIAA Headlight

but your DRLs should be off when u turn on the HIDs ...nothing to match there.

I use Sylvania in my high beams...noticeable difference

On mine, if I'm rembering correctly, there were 2 retaining clips that need to be removed first (one on each side). Easy to remove but pain in the butt to put back. It's hinged but can rotate, so when you try to put it back its hard to align. There's not that much space for your hand while you're also contorting your body over the bumper.

Just pay attention how the clips come off and you'll be okay. Good luck!

BTW .. if its the actual bulb that you need to remove from the connector, I believe they just pull out. Look at the pics and you can see that its just a single blade connector.

EDIT again: Okay, just to clarify. The bulb is held in place by the two retainers. To replace it, you have to:

1) Remove the connector/harness from the back of the bulb (just pulls out, I think).
2) Then remove the retaining clips to remove the bulb from the housing.

Can't remember if you can leave the connector/harness on the bulb and just remove the clips to remove the whole assembly.
