Steering wheel retro fit
Does anyone live near East Amherst, NY that could help me change my 4 spoke steering wheel to the 3 spoke sport steering wheel? I have both the wheel and airbag

The square air bag is holding by 4 tox screw side T-12 ( I think) behide the steering wheel . Make sure you disconnect the Neg - on the battery terminal

If you are willing to drive to NJ (I'm about 15 mins from Staten Island), I am happy to help you. Make sure that the steering wheel controls are IDENTICALon BOTH WHEELS or you MIGHT need to replace the clockspring that powers the various buttons on the steering wheel (ie, volume up/down, bluetooth, etc). I've replace the 4 spoke that came with my car with a heated 3 spoke. Do a search on my screen name -edco- and you can see my new one.

lol, I wish i was closer but thats a little to far. I just bought the sport wheel, brand new BMW Genunine off Roveractive on ebay for 599 + free shipping. I think i will just have a mechanic install it here. I am nervous to deal with the air bag and do not want it exploding in my face.

I'm in Clarence and had a friend at Towne do mine. Took him 10 mins, at most. They didn't even pull the airbag fuse.

I replaced the factory sport with an M wheel, and it's great!
