Which ipod adaptor is best for my X?

So I finnaly removed my radio to get it fixed, and now I am thinking of getting an ipod adaptor. I have a 01 Bmw and just the regular radio, no navigation and no CD changer. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Since you have the radio out, why don't you just replace it with an aftermarket unit? Save the money from the repair and put it toward the new unit. You can probably get the iPod hookup, bluetooth, and cd/mp3 player as well for just a little more money. That is unless you want to keep it stock.......

Well I would like to keep the radio stock. The only problem is that the lines are fading away. I'll see what I can do to fix it. But can you get an ipod adaptor for the 01 and which would be the best?

From what I read and I also had an 01, it would be the dice unit. It is about $150 and there is a DIY here. You can either have the unit where you leave the ipod in the back (where the CD Changer is) or have it wired to the front. Either one, it seems like a very easy DIY and relatively inexpensive.

You do have CD Changer prewiring, which is what the DICE unit will plug into.
