Thumbs down Cluster Lit Up Today *pic*

Well I knew it was coming, for the first time the cluster gave me an error message today I was driving back from breakfast with a friend cruising along minding my own business, when I hear my baby scream in pain "BONG"
I look down at the dash and I see the DSC inactive and an amber circle with an exclamation mark on it. I dont have my manual handy can anyone shed some light on this and what I'm in for

The code has to be read out however a worn or dirty ABS sensor can do that.

Just spoke to a buddy of mine who is pretty into BMW and works on them alot, he told me it was probably the DSC hydro pump failure. He said it would cost nearly $3,000 parts and labor at the dealer

A worn ABS sensor (RHS rear wheel) did exactly that on my X, 60 USD for the part, 5 minutes work. Your choice to judge if it worths a check or not, or at least get the code out

As killcrap said, have the codes read before you start throwing parts at it. Your buddy should give you better advice.
